John Petrucci another one of todays guitar heroes talks about his signature guitar with Ernieball Musicman, the BFR F1 Music Man Guitar. he first difference between the first John Petrucci signature guitar and the new BFR F1 is the wood. The first guitar had basswood body and maple neck. The new guitar has a combination of woods to make up the body of the guitar, it has an alder body with a maple top, and mahogony tone block in the middle, the neck is also mahogony, this combination gives the guitar beautiful sustain and warmth. The finger board is still rosewood. The new guitar also has a bigger body for comfortability and sustain. The cutaways on the BFR F1 Music man is also deeper and easier to get to the higher frets. The bridge is the same, however the pickups are changed, still DiMarzios though. The pickup selection has also changed.
